WebMay 20, 2024 · The Friends of Aztalan State Park will begin its season of summer and fall events at Aztalan State Park with a spring walking tour of ancient Aztalan Sunday May 20 at 2:00 PM. This tour will highlight recent discoveries and new research. Aztalan was a fortified town occupied by Native Americans between A.D. 1050 and 1200. Webto the Aztalan Visitor Center Building Fund or to the General Working fund. Donations are greatly appreciated and will contribute to the site’s success. All donations are tax deductible. Note that a donation of at least $250 grants you a free Lifetime membership. There are 4 ways to donate to the Friends:
WebA Friends of Aztalan State Park group was formed in 1994 to help assist the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources with fundraising, tours, and other park programs that promote increased public awareness. An advisory board of archaeological experts was also created to help guide the park in the most pressing research and interpretation matters.
